Dining in the Red Light District

In the Red Light District, you’ll find a lot of fast food places. But we find it important that visitors can also eat in a good restaurant here, because we are proud of this neighborhood. Did you know that the Red Light District is located in the oldest part of Amsterdam?

The Oude Kerk, located near Steakhouse Argentango, is the oldest surviving building in the city, and dates from the 13th century.

When we discovered years ago that the building at Lange Niezel 16 was being released, we immediately jumped in. No fast food, we decided. Our roots are in Argentina (we also own the famous Amsterdam restaurant Villa Maria Steakhouse), so it was only natural that we would offer Argentine grill specialties. But we decided that we also want to serve people who feel like something different, especially since we open already at noon. Our menu now also includes pizzas, pastas, fish, shellfish and salads, too many to mention. Everything is freshly prepared by our top chefs. See you in Steakhouse Argentango!
